Litter Picks & Local Initiatives

At Bolsover Boxing Club, we believe fitness goes beyond the gym — it’s about building stronger people and a stronger community. That’s why we regularly organise local litter picks and community clean-up events across Bolsover and surrounding areas.

These initiatives give our members — especially younger ones — the opportunity to give back, build pride in where they live, and connect with others in a meaningful way. From tidying parks and public spaces to supporting local charities and schools, we’re committed to making a positive impact outside the ring.

Why It Matters:

  • Encourages teamwork, respect, and responsibility

  • Promotes environmental awareness and community pride

  • Supports mental wellbeing through outdoor activity

  • Builds strong community links through visible action

 How to Get Involved

Keep an eye on our Facebook page  for upcoming litter picks and local initiatives, or speak to a coach about how to join in. Everyone’s welcome, including parents, friends, and local residents.

Mental health & wellbeing support through boxing

At Bolsover Boxing Club, we believe that boxing offers significant mental health benefits.

Boxing is a great outlet for stress relief and can help improve your mood and resilience.

We believe in the power of community and creating safe spaces for people to manage stress, emotional pain and mental health issues through boxing and physical activities.

At Bolsover Boxing Club, we offer a unique, non-judgmental space where people of all ages can join in.

We’ve previously partnered with the Loss Project to provide the RELEASE programme, recognising that traditional bereavement support isn’t for everyone, and we will soon be offering our broader mental wellbeing and resilience programme – In Your Corner, from September 2025.

You don’t ned any prior boxing experience – just a willingness to take that first step.

Benefits of boxing:

  • A healthy outlet for anger, sadness, and stress

  • Improved mental clarity and emotional balance

  • Builds confidence, discipline, and a sense of routine

  • Community support with people who understand
